The boiler room contains the central heating boiler, the water pump, water softener, cold water storage tank and drinking water purification system.
The boiler room measures 2m x 2.4m and is situated within the garage.
The central heating boiler is rated at 50,000BTU and heats the house via water-filled radiators in each room. The boiler is fuelled by LPG which is delivered by a truck as required and stored in a 500l tank at the side of the house.
The water pump provides pressurised hot and cold water to the entire house enabling the 'champagne' effect from the taps .
The water softener removes all lime scale from the water supply which not only provides 'soft' water for showering and bathing but dramatically reduces the amount of detergent required for washing clothes, etc. Water softeners prolong the life of domestic appliances and reduce maintenance requirements.
The cold water storage tank, along with the tank in the garage provide 3.1 tonnes of softened cold water ensuring the supply if the village water supply ever fails.
The water purification system has a reverse osmosis water filter and a UV sanitiser ensuring the very highest quality drinking water is available at all times. The unit has two 5l storage tanks and is connected to the drinking tap in the kitchen and the refrigerator for ice making, etc.
The boiler room links to the Garage.
